The local church is the world’s toughest enterprise to lead. Unlike other businesses, it is primarily a volunteer-based enterprise. And, “without a vision, the people perish” – Proverbs 29:18. The local church today is in desperate need of leaders who have a bold and clear vision from God. The call is for leaders “to finish the work” before Jesus’ second coming. However, despite this call, the churches especially in the developed nations are struggling. Too many of our churches have degenerated into ‘social clubs’ that meet weekly and foster an environment of consumerism. Despite all this, God holds in supreme regard His church, His bride, and the apple of His eye.
