Why are you interested in church planting?9. If I were allowed to start a new church, I would preferto invest most of my time in reaching unchurched peopleto spend 80% of my time with the church and about 20% of my time with the unchurchedto bring someone on my team who could communicate well with the unchurched so that I could devote my time to discipling Christiansto focus upon the needs of the people in the church10. I am currently pursuingmultiple relationships with unchurched people for the purpose of loving them and leading them to the Lorda relationship with an unchurched person in order to love him/her and lead him/her to the Lordplans to start relationships with unchurched people for the purpose of loving them and leading them to the Lordno relationship with an unchurched person for the purpose of loving them and leading them to Christ11. I function best when Ican hang out with people who do not yet know Jesuswhen I am relating to new Christianswhen I can spend much of my time building relationships with Christianswhen I am relating to mature Christians12. I perceive the primary role of a pastor/leader would be totrain and equip the people to serve/leadlead and administrate the work of the churchpreach the Good News of Jesus at my churchcare for the needs of the people16. I believe the style of worship for a church should beflexible to changing times and peopleset when the church first starts and changed only when the leadership changestraditional and match time-honored Seventh-day Adventist valueswhat the pastor/church leaders like17. The way I prefer to learn about the needs of my community is throughgetting to know people personally in the communitythe U.S. Census Data or data from the local conferenceconducting a community assessment surveytrial and error. Do an outreach, then learn from what went wrong/right18. I believe the best way to discover my spiritual gifts is totake a spiritual gift assessment survey and have a personal interview with a pastor/leader before trying an area of servingtry different areas of serving and find out what worksreflect on what I like to do/motivates me and try doing something that incorporates thatwait to be asked by leaders/nominating committee to serve in some way19.
