Supplemental Lesson

Supplemental Lesson 1 for Destiny and Decisions-Part 4

Welcome to Destiny and Decisions-Part 4’s supplemental lesson one. By now you are becoming very familiar with the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14. You know that:

  • The gospel is to go to the whole world.
  • The first angel tells us to fear God and give Him the glory because the hour of His judgment is come.
  • The first angel also tells us to worship God who made the earth, the seas, and the springs of water.
  • The second angel tells us about Babylon falling. This is a symbol of the time when religious and political powers will join together to try to force people to break God’s seventh-day Sabbath.
  • The third angel tells us about a mark in the forehead and in the hand. These are not real marks. They are symbols of thinking and acting. When people think apart from God’s will and break His commandments, they are not on the right path. As Christians, we use our heads to make decisions to follow Jesus. We use our hands to do His will.

In lesson five, we will finish up our study of the Three Angels’ messages. Let’s get ready to begin our art work now.

To complete this lesson you will perform two tasks to help you improve your skills as an artist and to assist you in retaining the information you learned in the lesson. Click on the Drawings button to retrieve and print the two drawings you will need for this lesson.

Task 1:Shade a drawing of a treasure box that might contain pearls and gold and valuable gems. Do you remember the story of the treasure hunter? Where did his search for earthly treasures lead? Think about this as you color the treasure box.

Task 2: Shade a drawing of an ancient scroll that might contain scripture verses. There is enough room on the scroll for you to write your favorite Bible verse. As you color the scroll, think of God’s “exceeding great and precious promises.” As you put God’s word in your mind today, you will be grateful to find it there when you face pressure and difficulty. You will have a treasure in your mind to get you through the hard times!

After shading the two drawings and thinking about what you have learned, click on the Mark Complete button to get credit for the lesson.
